AOC Confesses That She Didn't Always Feel Comfortable Dating Someone of a Different Race

AOC Makes Shocking RACIAL Confession

(TheRedWire.com) – In 2018, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) rose to fame quickly after she defeated the third highest ranking House Democrat at the time, Rep. Joe Crowley (D-NY). Since then, she’s been an outspoken advocate and leader in the Democratic socialist movement in the United States. In October, she’ll appear on the cover of GQ Magazine. She describes her experience in Washington, DC, and her concern over engaging in an interracial relationship with a white man.

GQ billed AOC as the “political voice of a generation” capable of transcending politics. Still, the well-known socialist politician says her catapult into public life led to a world of hate driven by misogyny. According to her, America hates women, especially women of color.

In April, the 32-year-old House Democrat got engaged to her long-time boyfriend, Riley Roberts. She told GQ that she didn’t always feel comfortable dating someone from a different race. AOC is of Puerto Rican Hispanic descent, and her fiance is White. She shared a past concern that a multiracial, multicultural relationship wouldn’t work for her. Yet, now, she’s planning a wedding.

AOC also talked about her fear during the January 6, 2021, riot on Capitol Hill. She said she hid in several offices, fearing she would die. To this day, Ocasio-Cortez stated she drives from her home close to the Capitol instead of walking.
