( – On Thursday, former United States Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott alleged that after he had provided feedback to the Biden administration criticizing its handling of border control he was punished.

Scott’s comments came after a live coverage of President Joe Biden’s visit to the Southern border, where he met in Brownsville, Texas, with Rio Grande Valley (RGV) Sector Chief Gloria Chavez and current USBP Chief Jason Owens. However, as Scott told “The Story” this visit to the southern border was just a “photo-op” for the U.S. President who is currently battling the migrant crisis.

He argued that while he disliked getting political he believed this was only for the cameras and that if the Biden administration had received that same briefing in the White House there would not have been any cameras as there would be “no show.”

He proceeded to claim that the administration knew of what they needed to do in order to secure the U.S. border and that they had been handed the most secure border in the country’s history as well as a roadmap on how to make things better with 94 executive actions. However, despite this President Biden had destroyed the border security.

Scott also noted that despite the Biden administration’s claims about the need for new legislation, the president has the executive authority to undo the reversal of the Trump-era policies.

The former chief also claimed that he was hopeful that Biden was going to listen to the advice that officials from Border Patrol offered and claimed that all of the advice he offered is what caused his early retirement.
