(TheRedWire.com) – Biden’s 2024 presidential campaign has come forward with all their frustrations relating to the portrayal of President Joe Biden in the media ahead of the presidential election in November.
Biden’s campaign has been attacking the press coverage as they are trying to oppose the concerns over whether or not the 81-year-old President is mentally able and fit enough to serve another term in the Oval Office.
This is not the first time that the Democrats have taken an issue with media coverage in recent years. During the 2016 presidential election critics had blasted the media for their focus on the controversy surrounding then-Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton related to her private email server while allowing Donald Trump to have unfiltered airtime.
Several of Biden’s allies have claimed that there is similar behavior occurring right now with the reporters being fixated on the President’s occasional gaffes and questions relating to his age, while former President Donald Trump who is his likely 2024 presidential election opponent is allowed to not face as much scrutiny relating to the dozens of felonies that he is facing. They further pointed out that not enough media attention is being placed on the former President’s suggestions against immigration, abortion access, and international alliances.
This week in an op-ed slamming the coverage of a special counsel report the President’s personal attorney pointed out that the White House was “upset” about the coverage relating to Biden’s age.
Jon Reinish, a Democratic strategist, has suggested that the more the White House campaign became aggressive the better off they were going to be.
