( – On Monday, President Joe Biden used the celebration in the White House for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month to slam former President Donald Trump over the previous remarks he has made about immigrants.

Biden appeared with Vice President Kamala Harris in the Rose Garden in front of a crowd of supporters. There the president highlighted how different his administration’s handling and policy was when compared to the rhetoric that former President Trump has been spewing ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

Biden argued that they were expanding opportunities, while also bringing costs down and protecting freedom. He added that this was extremely different to the way that Trump viewed America and “all of you.” He pointed out that they would never forget how Trump had lied about the pandemic or the increase in anti-Asian hate crimes during the COVID-19 pandemic. He then noted that in 2021 he had signed legislation that was specifically looking to address that increase in hate crimes.

Biden slammed Trump over his continuous threats that he would be getting rid of the Affordable Care Act and slammed the presumptive GOP nominee over his comments about immigrants in the last few years. He pointed out that while his administration was fighting for a comprehensive immigration report, Trump was referring to all immigrants as murderers and rapists who are “not people.” He added that Trump had previously claimed that immigrants were “poisoning” the country’s blood. Biden however argued that while his predecessor only wanted a country for some he wanted to ensure that the country would be for all of them.
