(TheRedWire.com) – On Friday, in an interview with MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle, President Biden, 80, argued that Vice President Kamala Harris was not getting the “credit she deserves.”

During the interview, Biden was specifically asked why Harris was featured so heavily in his re-election announcement video, with the vice president appearing 10 times. In response, Biden claimed that Harris’ accomplishments were not being acknowledged as they should be. He proceeded to point out that she had served as an attorney general of the state of California and a United States senator, and that her work and accomplishments have not been acknowledged in the way that they deserve to be.

Ruhle continued her line of questioning, by stating that many of his critics would argue that he is trying to bring Harris to the forefront because he does not believe that he would serve a full second term. She added that not a single Fortune 500 company would look for a CEO in his 80s, so would an 82-year-old be the right person for the White House?

Biden in response stated that he has a lot more experience than most people and has proven his effectiveness.

While Biden may be dismissing concerns about his age, this remains a key issue for many voters. According to a CBS poll from last week, only 22 percent of Democrats were “excited” about Biden’s possible re-election campaign, while close to half stated that they did not want to see President Biden run again in 2024.
