(TheRedWire.com) – During the 2020 presidential election, then-Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden told Americans that Putin was scared to death he would become president. Biden added he was the only person who could effectively deal with the Russian dictator. It appears like it was more hot air coming from Biden. On Tuesday, February 22, President Biden held a press conference with California Gov. Gavin Newsom to discuss renewable energy and climate change.
At the end of the press conference, a reporter asked Biden about the fast deterioration of events unfolding between Russia and Ukraine. The reporters simply wanted to know if the president or his administration underestimated his Russian counterpart.

Oddly, Biden stared at the reporter as though he were looking into space. The president appeared very uncomfortable and finally refused to answer the question while picking away at his teeth. As usually occurs at a Biden press conference, many were left dazed and confused about Biden’s response to the question.
Perhaps to spare him of any embarrassment, Biden often rebuffs reporters at the end of public events or press conferences as they prepare to ask him difficult questions. It’s not uncommon for White House staff to interject, end the affair or media appearance, and sweep the president away. Maybe it’s for the better?
