WATCH – Biden Starts SCREAMING at Critics for Asking One Simple Question
(TheRedWire.com) – When voters cast ballots for then-Democratic nominee Joe Biden, many said they wanted a calmer and more responsible tone from the White House. Yet, it doesn’t appear that’s what they’ve gotten over the last 18 months. As inflation continues to worsen despite Biden’s insistence through much of 2021 that it was transitory and temporary, the president has seemingly grown frustrated and angry over media reports of his actions and inactions.
On Tuesday, June 14, Biden spoke in Philadelphia at the 29th AFL-CIO Convention. He attempted to defend his anemic economic record and continued to spread disinformation in the process. Downplaying inflation, the president shouted that he didn’t want to hear any more lies about reckless government spending as the cause for inflation’s rampant rise.
The president also falsely claimed that Republicans want to raise taxes. However, that doesn’t appear to be the case. In February 2021, Larry Summers, former Treasury Secretary during the Clinton administration, warned Democrats before passing the American Rescue Act that injecting trillions of dollars more into the economy would overheat it and spark inflation. Last fall, Steven Rattner, one of Obama’s former Treasury officials, blamed the Democrats’ spending as the largest culprit and referred to inflation as Bidenflation.
While Biden may call claims of reckless government spending lies, even economists in his own party seem to disagree.
