Biden Taunts Gun Owners Again

(TheRedWire.com) – President Biden’s time in the White House has been spent with a focus on banning “assault weapons.” This has led to many advocates worrying about the loss of their Second Amendment rights and their firearms.

In his latest speech during the National Action Network’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. breakfast in Washington, President Biden noted that if one’s focus is taking on the federal government they would need F-15s, not just an AR-15.

This is not the first time that Biden has made similar comments. In July 2021, he had said that if someone was planning on taking on the government, they would need nuclear weapons and F-15s. This 2021 speech had been focused on Biden’s plans for reducing gun violence.

He then proceeds to falsely claim that there have always been limitations set forth in the Second Amendment. He added that from the start the Second Amendment had limited the type of weapons that people could own and who could own them.

However, according to Politifact, federal gun regulations emerged for the first time in 1934, which was decades after the Second Amendment had been first put in place. Therefore, Biden’s claims are inaccurate.

In another speech, Biden added that they should not allow semi-automatic weapons to be purchased. Semi-automatic guns, including handguns and rifles, allow you to fire once for each trigger pull.

Finally, another mistake Biden has recently made was claiming that AR bullets travel five times faster than any other bullet. Generally, AR-15s are not even on the list of fastest bullets according to hunting gear retailer Field and Stream.
