New Report Shows Biden Lost Temper During Phone Call With Zelenskyy
(TheRedWire.com) – Along with NATO and other countries, the United States is pouring financial resources into Ukraine to aid its defense from Russia. In late February, Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded the neighboring country. On September 8, the State Department said the US had given the war-torn country $15.2 billion in US military assistance. On October 31, NBC News reported that in June, President Joe Biden lost his temper on a call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a phone call after Biden informed him of a new US military package.
According to four individuals familiar with the phone call, when Biden finished telling Zelenskyy the US was sending $1 billion in additional military assistance, Zelenskyy immediately listed other needs his country had that aid didn’t cover. Biden allegedly became angry and told him the US was providing generously as the administration worked to help his country. NBC said he told the Ukrainian leader he could show more gratitude for what he was receiving.

Officials say Biden was firm with Zelenskyy. Recently, the administration has communicated to members of Congress it would like more money for Ukraine during the lame-duck session after the November 8 election. Lawmakers and lobbyists want between $40 billion and $60 billion. Officials say it will likely come in at around $50 billion.
