(TheRedWire.com) – Fox News recently revealed that the informant who let House Oversight Committee Chairman Comer and GOP Senator Grassley know about the FBI document that allegedly details a criminal bribery scheme involving then-VP Biden and another foreign national is a “highly credible” FBI human source that has been involved in numerous investigations since the Obama era.
The whistleblower had originally approached Grassley and Comer to inform them of an FD-1023 form, dated June 30, 2020, in which a confidential human source alleged that Biden was part of a $5 million criminal bribery scheme that included a foreign national in exchange for influence over policy decisions. A source familiar with the case revealed that the confidential human source was a “pre-existing” FBI source that had been part of many investigations completely unrelated to Biden’s case.
The source proceeded to note that the FBI had used the confidential human source before the June 2020 FD-1023 form had been created and that they had been “consistently reviewed by the FBI” and was determined as “highly credible.”
Grassley’s spokesman in a statement to Fox News Digital pointed out that they were aware of the “very serious allegations” against Biden, but what they are now trying to determine was what was done with those allegations and whether they had tried to “sweep it under the rug” or chosen to investigate further. This was why the document is so central to this investigation so that they can have greater transparency.
