(TheRedWire.com) – For decades, politicians have participated in sketchy pursuits that while not illegal, were not ethical. Law and ethics often don’t match up because those who write the laws find ways to exclude themselves through loopholes. Now, one must question how deep a conflict of interest goes for President Joe Biden.
In 2018, BioNTech signed a licensing agreement with the University of Pennsylvania. The mRNA technology used by BioNTech is part of the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines. Now, the university receives massive payments under the licensing agreement. Yet, the university isn’t alone. President Joe Biden’s think tank, the Penn Biden Center, is part of the university. It, too, is reaping money every time the government purchases either a Moderna or Pfizer COVID vaccine. Two years before running for president, Biden made $900,000 from the university in his role as a professor at the Biden Center.

It would appear Biden has a massive conflict of interest as the President of the United States despite receiving a leave of absence in April 2019 as he kicked off the campaign. The university says it does not fundraise for Biden’s think tank and supports it through the general fund. For four years, Democrats accused former President Donald Trump of using his position for profit as the owner of the Trump Hotel in Washington, DC. This conflict would appear to be as bad, if not worse.
