(TheRedWire.com) – CIA Director William Burns has expressed certainty regarding China’s planning on providing Russia with lethal equipment that will help them in their war against Ukraine. During an interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation,”  Burns noted they were certain about Chinese leadership considering whether or not to provide the lethal equipment to Russia. He added that a final decision had not yet been reached as they had no evidence of any shipments of lethal equipment having taken place.

This is not the first time such accusations have taken place. Last week, Secretary of State Antony Blinken accused China of considering providing assistance to Russia, which many U.S. officials have stated could have severe consequences. Burns also added regarding this, that it was necessary for the President and Blinken to make clear what the exact consequences would be.

Last Sunday, retired four-star Army Gen. Jack Keane noted that he believed the administration was correct in starting to reveal some of the information regarding China. He added that China was preparing to add military aid to Russia. During his interview at “Fox News Sunday,” Keane also added that it was time for the U.S. to take a step even further instead of just focusing on exposing them.

On Monday, China responded to these accusations, with Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin claiming that China was not the country putting more weapons on the battlefield, the U.S. was.
