(TheRedWire.com) – On Sunday, Republican presidential candidate Christie stated that he could not rule out the possibility of collaborating with former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley in the GOP primary, to defeat former President Donald Trump. Trump is the frontrunner in the primary race leading by a large margin.
In an interview on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Christie argued that his work was focused on beating Trump and that he was the only one in the primary race who was actually looking to defeat him. When asked specifically about possibly collaborating with Haley, he pointed out that she has not ruled out the possibility of being Trump’s Vice President. Hence he argued that it was not possible to take her seriously. He added that both he and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis have completely ruled out the possibility of being Trump’s vice president, but that Haley has not.
Christie further argued that the reason Haley was not making more comments about Trump being unfit to be the U.S. president is because she has not ruled out being his VP. He further slammed her over her recent remarks as she had claimed that Trump was fit to serve in the White House.
Christie has argued that Trump’s comments and praise of Russian President Vladimir Putin are reason enough why Trump is not fit to serve as the president. However, as he pointed out Haley is not answering any of the questions about Trump or making any remarks against Trump despite his recent comments about Putin.
