(TheRedWire.com) – Ben Crump, a prominent civil rights attorney who has been involved in many police brutality cases, has now deleted the tweet in which he slammed a female New York City hospital worker only hours after her lawyer threatened to file defamation lawsuits during a Fox News segment.

Crump had originally tweeted the viral video, which had more than 4 million views, and depicted the verbal altercation between the hospital worker and multiple young black men before deleting it after the segment about the defamation suits went viral. At the time, Crump had called the incident depicted “unacceptable.” He also added that in the video the woman could be seen attempting to steal the Citi Bike that had been paid for by the young black man and had then attempted to weaponize her tears in an effort to make the man appear as a threat. He added that this was exactly the type of behavior that had endangered the lives of Black men before.

Crump did not proceed to post any follow-up tweets including a correction or apology.

Sarah Comrie, a physician assistant at Bellevue Hospital, who is the woman in the video, is six months pregnant and had just finished a 12-hour shift according to her attorney Justin Marino. She has now been put on leave because of the incident that was caught on video.
Marino, who appeared on Fox News on Friday, shared that his client had been called “a racist” and “a thief” and that currently there are many defamation laws in existence and they are planning on pursuing such cases.

Marino asserted the woman had been the one to originally pay for the bike, but that the men had pushed it back to the docking station and taken it out, blocking her from using the bike she had paid for.
