(TheRedWire.com) – During the 2020 presidential election, then-Democratic candidate Joe Biden slammed President Donald Trump for his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. Biden accused Trump of not having a plan and suggested that the government would eliminate the virus if he were in control. Almost a full year into Biden’s presidency, the pandemic is no further under control, and the Democrat now admits the federal government cannot provide the solution to the pandemic.

On Wednesday, January 4, Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) blasted President Biden for claiming the federal government can’t be the solution. According to the Florida senator, it smacks of hypocrisy. On the one hand, the president claims the states need to solve the problem. On the other hand, he still argues in the courts for federal authority to enforce numerous federal vaccine mandates.
While Biden is correct that the solution ought to be in the states, Scott argued that the federal government should treat each state equally and fairly in distributing treatment resources.
In December, federal courts placed stays on two of Biden’s workplace vaccine mandates:
- Companies with more than 100 employees
- Health care providers who participate in Medicare and Medicaid
On Wednesday, January 5, the US Supreme Court agreed to hear emergency requests on Friday. The high court could block the vaccine mandates.
