D.C. Restaurant Owner Says “Irresponsible” Congress Is Holding up Stimulus

(TheRedWire.com) – Restaurants and bars have been among the hardest-hit industries due to the restrictions put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic. Employees have been especially hard hit because of tight margins and reliance on customers’ tips. Even celebrity chef empires like Michael Symon’s have been forced to layoff employees and shutter some locations.

Amy Brandwein is the owner of the Centrolina, a restaurant in Washington DC, and was part of the protest laying (literally) the blame for the problems right where it belongs, on Congress’ steps. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) provided a more specific target by admitting it was Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and fellow Democrats who were responsible for the failure to pass a stimulus bill that may have helped restaurants weather the storm — not President Donald Trump.

While the Progressive Liberals flouted their own rules and exhibited their contempt for their proletariat, millions of businesses and their employees floundered. And with the assistance of the mainstream media, Democrats in Congress perpetuated a massive lie to obtain more political power.
