(TheRedWire.com) – Anti-Trump forces and Democrats have been trying to keep former President Donald Trump, who is the frontrunner in the Republican primary race, off the 2024 presidential ballot. On Saturday, during his rally in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Trump argued that this “fake news” narrative being pushed against him was only because they were too afraid to run against him.
As he stated, his opposition had been working hard and pushing misinformation and disinformation. He added that they always say they want to run against him. However, he proceeded to argue that if they truly wanted to run against him, then they would not have been fighting so much to keep him off the presidential ballot, nor would they have indicted him four times.
During his speech in Iowa, Trump pointed out that he had fought to ensure that the state would continue to be the first-in-the-nation caucus state and that this had been his work and they should not allow others to take the credit for it. He also pointed out that the primary race in the state was only 44 days away. He added that on Jan. 15, they would be winning in the Iowa caucuses and crush Joe Biden in the next election.
Trump proceeded to state that they would make America great once again and they would put an end to Joe Biden’s “banana republic.”
While Trump used his speech to also attack his opponents in the presidential primary, for the most part, his attacks were focused on President Joe Biden.
