Dems ADMIT IT – They Should’ve Listened To Trump’s BIGGEST Warning

Democratic Senator Sides With Trump on Dangers of TikTok

Democratic Senator Sides With Trump on Dangers of TikTok

( – In the US alone, users have downloaded TikTok’s app over 210 million times. In August 2020, then-President Donald Trump signed an executive order invoking the International Emergency Economic Powers Act and the National Emergencies Act to sanction the controversial Chinese social media platform. He argued lawmakers should outlaw TikTok due to national security concerns. On Sunday, November 20, one Democratic senator sided with the former president over the dangers of the application.

Senator. Mark Warner (D-VA) told Fox News Sunday host Shannon Bream that Trump was right to try and ban the Chinese-owned platform. He labeled TikTok a significant threat to Americans’ privacy, agreeing with the former president, and noted that parents should be concerned about kids downloading the app to their phones. As Warner pointed out, the company reportedly stores data in China.

FBI Director Christopher Wray recently warned the communist government could use data gleaned from millions of TikTok users. In turn, he stated ByteDance, the app’s parent company, might use it to influence or control software on mobile devices. Wray added it could allow the Chinese to “tactically compromise” people’s smartphones or devices.

FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr has said regulators should ban TikTok’s app. Still, the company said the FCC has no authority in its discussions with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). Officials for the platform say the data is safe, but executives have confessed under oath that individuals in China can access the information on its servers.
