Ron DeSantis Cracks SUICIDE Joke After Tough Question
(TheRedWire.com) – Over the last 18 months, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and President Joe Biden have, at best, enjoyed an acrimonious relationship. They’ve gone after each other over COVID policies, voting rights, and social issues. On Wednesday, July 20, Florida’s Voice Founder and Editor-in-Chief Brendon Leslie spent some time with DeSantis. They discussed a wide range of issues, but out of the gate, Leslie asked the governor who he would prefer as a companion if he got stranded on an island.
Leslie offered DeSantis a choice of either “President Brandon” (a moniker conservatives mock Biden by) or far-left Democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). The governor laughed and joked, asking if he could have his “Maker call me back” instead. Needless to say, the conservative leader doesn’t think much of either person or his options.

All kidding aside, Leslie asked DeSantis questions on a broad range of issues ranging from his response to COVID-19 to vaccine mandates to the political environment heading into the November midterm elections.
DeSantis has an interesting history with the media. He doesn’t shy away from journalists or refuse to answer their questions, and he’s not afraid to go thought-for-thought with them if he feels they aren’t treating him fairly.
Polls suggest if former President Donald Trump doesn’t run for office in 2024, DeSantis might be the frontrunner in a Republican primary.
