(TheRedWire.com) – Bill and Melinda Gates, the power couple of the billionaire class for the past 27 years, announced last week their intention to file for divorce. As The Guardian reported, the split could make Melinda Gates one of the richest women on the planet; however, it now appears money wasn’t the only factor at play.
On Sunday, May 9, Fox Business reported that Bill Gates’s relationship with the late financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein had been a source of concern for Melinda for many years. Sources close to the pair revealed that Melinda had reservations about her husband’s link with Epstein as early as 2013.

Bill Gates reportedly first contacted Epstein in 2011, which was years after Epstein’s first sentence for solicitation of prostitution with minors. Gates claims he had no “business relationship or friendship” with Epstein. However, if the link between the two was enough to derail Gates’s marriage, it’s worth wondering whether his version of events is entirely honest.
