(TheRedWire.com) – The hunt is still on for Brian Laundrie in Florida. Laundrie is a person of interest in the homicide of Gabby Petito, his former girlfriend. It appears that for now, the search will go on without one renowned personality who’s searching to discover where Laundrie is hiding. In September, Duane Chapman, aka Dog the Bounty Hunter, joined the nationwide effort to track down Laundrie using his expertise to help find the wanted individual. Now, the 68-year-old has temporarily halted his search for Laundrie, but there are conflicting reasons why he’s not on the case.
Celebrity investigator “Dog the Bounty Hunter” has reportedly left the search for Brian Laundrie after suffering an ankle injury.

According to a local news report, Dog sustained an ankle injury during the search and returned to Colorado on October 10 for medical treatment. In addition, Chapman is allegedly raising money for what he calls an extensive search for Laundrie. The television reality star left his team members behind to continue the search.
Dog’s daughter, Lyssa, partially disputes the news account. Chapman’s daughter said he returned to Colorado to take care of business. She reminded people her father was in Florida celebrating his honeymoon with his new wife when the case broke.
In addition to being a person of interest in Petito’s homicide, a judge issued a warrant for Laundrie’s arrest. He’s wanted for unauthorized use of Petito’s debit card.
