Epstein’s Prison Guards Finally Come Clean

Epstein's Prison Guards Finally Come Clean

(TheRedWire.com) – New revelations are coming to light in the ongoing case of convicted pedophile and human trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein was found dead in his jail cell while awaiting trial on new assault charges. Authorities claim he used his bedsheet to strangle himself. However, conspiracy theories abound as Epstein’s closest confidants were among the very rich and powerful. The defendant was on suicide watch at the time of his passing, and corrections officers were supposed to check on him every 30 minutes.

In a new plea deal with the DOJ, two guards admit they were only feet away from Epstein when he died. Those guards, Tova Noel and Michael Thomas, admitted to prosecutors they were browsing the internet, slept on the job, neglected their duties, and falsified reports to cover their dereliction of duty. The former guards claimed they were working extreme overtime hours due to staffing shortages.

The DOJ says they won’t prosecute the two guards. Instead, they’ll be released on supervision, complete 100 hours of community service, and agree to cooperate fully with the ongoing federal investigation.
