(TheRedWire.com) – Representative Maxwell Frost (D-Fla.) emphasized the pivotal role communities of color play in the upcoming reelection efforts for President Biden, expressing a stark view on the consequences of a potential return to office by former President Trump for marginalized groups. In an interview with MSNBC’s Katie Phang, Frost highlighted recent endorsements Biden received from three key political organizations focused on minority interests: the Latino Victory Fund, AAPI Victory Fund, and The Collective PAC. These groups not only endorsed Biden but also pledged substantial financial support, totaling $30 million, to prevent Trump from securing a second term and to assist in Biden’s campaign for reelection.

Frost pointed out the significance of these endorsements and financial commitments, interpreting them as a testament to the critical stakes of the forthcoming election, particularly for Asian American, Black, Latino, and other communities of color. He stressed the dire implications a second Trump term could have on these vulnerable populations, suggesting such an outcome could be catastrophic.

As the first Generation Z member elected to Congress, Frost’s unique perspective brings attention to the ongoing discourse around Biden’s age. Despite being 81 and facing scrutiny over his age and capability to lead, Biden has turned this into a campaign strength. An advertisement released by his campaign features Biden acknowledging his age while asserting his effectiveness and experience in serving the American public.

Frost commended Biden’s approach to addressing concerns about his age, noting the importance of authenticity to young voters. He believes voters are looking for candidness in their candidates, not evasion of sensitive topics. Frost argued that when casting their ballots, voters are likely to prioritize issues over age, focusing on candidates’ stances on key matters such as reproductive rights, abortion access, and gun violence prevention, areas where he sees Biden as the clear choice over Trump.
