Gavin Newsom Yells About MURDER PROBLEM – Look Who He’s Blaming

(TheRedWire.com) – Are Democrats getting desperate over their record on crime? It appears that may be the case. Across America, in both Blue and Red states, big cities run by Democrats either defunded police or elected far-left district attorneys who refused to prosecute many crimes. On Saturday, June 11, California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) tried to change the narratives about Democratic states and their high crime rates.

Newsom told the political podcast The Issue Is that the country has a murder problem in red states. To justify the allegation, Newsom used a CBS News report that looked at the top 65 cities with the highest murder rates. The far-left California governor said that eight of the top states with the fastest-growing murder rates in the country were led by Republicans. The problem with Newsom’s analysis is he didn’t bother to say Democratic mayors and city councils ran most of those cities.

Newsom wasn’t alone in his partisan analysis. Far-left Squad leader Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) also tweeted the CBS list using the same flawed narrative about state leadership over cities.

As the 2022 midterm elections draw closer, Democrats may allege some outlandish things as they brace for a shellacking by voters upset with high crime, sinking morale in police departments, high inflation, and crippling gas prices.
