Good News! Supreme Court Upholds Trump Victory

(TheRedWire.com) – Of late, court victories were difficult to come by for former President Donald Trump after the November 2020 election. However, on Monday, February 22, the US Supreme Court (SCOTUS) refused to hear a defamation lawsuit against Trump filed by former adult film actress Stormy Daniels. The adult film star alleged she had an affair with Trump in 2011. In 2017, Daniels went public with the allegation.

When Daniels threatened to go public, she alleged that an unidentified man threatened her and her child in a parking lot. When Trump called her out on Twitter, claiming she made up the story, Daniels sued him in federal court for defamation. In October 2018, a federal court dismissed the case. After an appeal to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, it failed again. That court ordered Daniels to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees.

The Supreme Court ruling ends any legal opportunity for Daniels to attack the former president regarding this case.
