GOP Lawmaker Vows to End Biden's Dystopian 'Disinformation' Board

Top Republican REFUSES To Let Biden Get Away With Sinister Plan

( – On Wednesday, April 27, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told Congress the Biden administration created a new Disinformation Governance Board (DGB) to combat false information online. Yet, the Department of State has a Global Engagement Center with a mission to fight propaganda and disinformation. So, either the administration is duplicating efforts, or the new Disinformation Governance Board is monitoring Americans. In either case, is it good? Conservative firebrand Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) apparently doesn’t think so.

On Monday, May 1, the Missouri Senator said he would soon introduce legislation to eliminate the controversial board. News of the DGB’s formation came days after Twitter’s board of directors agreed to sell the platform to Elon Musk for $44 billion.

On Thursday, April 28, Musk tweeted that the board was discomforting. Separately, Hawley tweeted that there isn’t any confusion about the purpose of the Disinformation board. He said it’s a censorship committee to punish those who use their Constitutionally protected free speech.

Sec. Mayorkas told Fox News Sunday that he could have done a better job explaining the DGB’s objective to Congress. He says the board aims to combat disinformation from Russia, China, and Iran, among others, that threatens the US homeland, particularly the 2022 midterm elections.

Still, many conservative lawmakers want to see more information about the Disinformation Board after news broke that a Democratic partisan operative who promoted the now-discredited Steele Dossier and said Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation (proven as untrue), would run it.
