Greg Abbott Is Sending This “Shipment” Straight To D.C.
(TheRedWire.com) – The Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) reported that agents had encountered 1,478,977 illegal immigrants in the first six months of the fiscal year 2022. In April, the CBP said 71% of all encounters were with single adults. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) quickly followed up by shipping the first wave of illegal immigrants to Washington, D.C. The Biden administration called it a stunt, but it seems fairly obvious that Gov. Abbott does not feel the same.

The Daily Mail reported that CBP released hundreds of migrants into the United States on Monday, May 23. The federal government shipped them to Eagle Pass, Texas, however, state officials rounded them up and sent the illegal migrants to the nation’s capital.
Later that day, Gov. Abbott held a press conference in Eagle Pass to announce that the 45th busload of illegal immigrants was heading to Washington, D.C. He said it wouldn’t be the last, and that he intends to flood the nation’s capital with 450 buses of migrants so that Democrats can share Texans’ struggles.
Abbott also said that D.C. would soon find out the consequences of illegal immigration. The governor slammed President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for not reaching out to him a single time about the southern border crisis. He remarked that the last time anyone from the Biden administration talked to him was February 2021.
