(TheRedWire.com) – On Sunday, Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley claimed that she did not feel that she was bound to the Republican National Committee pledge that she had made last year about supporting, however ended up being the Republican presidential nominee. She argued that she was not yet at a point where she was considering losing the race.

The former South Carolina governor argued during an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that she would be making whatever decision she wanted and that this was not something that she was currently considering. She added that if someone is talking about endorsing someone then they are essentially agreeing to take a loss which is not at all how she thought. She pointed out that when one is in a race they do not usually think about the possibility of losing the race.

When asked about the upcoming Super Tuesday primary elections and whether or not it was important for voters to know what Haley thought about potentially endorsing the former President she responded by pointing out that when reporters started to ask him if he would be supporting her then she would be answering that question. She added that currently, her primary focus was on how to win and bring in more voters.

Haley also maintained that the nation was heading in a “bad direction” and that it was necessary for additional choices to be made so that the people in the country could feel that the government was actually working and serving them.
