(TheRedWire.com) – Hunter Biden can’t seem to dodge the scandals that surround him. From 2014-2019, Joe Biden’s son served on the board of Burisma. The Ukrainian energy company was known for corruption, and Ukraine’s top prosecutor-general at the time allegedly opened an ongoing investigation into them. Now, it appears the US Department of Justice (DOJ) is investigating a US-based firm tied to the energy company.

Blue Star Strategies added Burisma as a client during the time Hunter served on the board. It’s illegal for US-based lobbying firms to take on foreign clients without notifying the US government of their actions. Reportedly, the DOJ is accessing if Blue Star Strategies failed to comply with the Foreign Agents Relations Act or the Lobbying Disclosure Act.
Hunter Biden is not currently implicated in the Blue Star Strategies investigation, and the company’s president said the younger Biden didn’t direct the firm’s work for the Ukrainian energy company. Although there are no known investigations for any scandals involving Hunter Biden’s time at Burisma, the DOJ continues investigating his potential tax law violations.
