Iran Launches Missile Barrage Near US Consulate in Iraq

(TheRedWire.com) – It appears the threats against the United States are growing more serious every day. While the US deals with the Russian invasion of Ukraine, China threatens Taiwan, and North Korea continues to test fire ballistic missiles. Now there’s this… As the US attempts to revise nuclear negotiations with Iran in Vienna, the rogue Middle Eastern country is firing missiles at US consulates in Iraq.

On Sunday, March 13, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for firing a dozen rockets at the US consulate in Erbil, Iraq. The IRGC alleged it was targeting secret Israeli bases in response to alleged crimes by Israel. Iranian officials warned there could be a harsher response coming soon.

Recently, Israel targeted and killed two members of the IRGC in Syria. The Iranian terrorist group said if Israel provokes them again, they will respond more harshly, decisively, and destructively.

US officials condemned the attack against the consulate but said it received no damage or reports of casualties. Iraqi officials contradicted the US statement, saying the consulate building sustained numerous missile strikes.

Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi said Iran leveled the attack against the security of the Iraqi people, and his government would stand against any threats towards his country.

What does this mean?

Stay tuned. It’s anyone’s guess at this point.
