(TheRedWire.com) – Far-Left Democratic Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is drawing criticism for an outlandish statement, once again. However, this time, the circumstances are different — the White House is leveling the criticism instead of Republican critics. Recently, AOC claimed organized crime theft wasn’t panning out as media hysteria portrayed it and suggested data didn’t support the allegations. Of course, she didn’t offer any evidence to back up her claim.
On Tuesday, December 7, a reporter asked White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki whether the administration agreed with AOC. The reporter also asked whether the administration thought stores needed to take more responsibility for their own security to prevent the violent thefts.

Psaki didn’t hold back and walked away from AOC. She stated the White House doesn’t agree with her position. The press secretary added the federal government, through the Department of Justice, FBI, and other federal law enforcement agencies’ response to the situation demonstrated that it’s a real issue the administration takes seriously.
Additionally, Psaki noted disturbing online videos of retail thefts at large and small retailers paint a different picture than AOC offers. Psaki took it further, noting local and state leaders identify organized retail theft as a serious issue they need to address to protect public safety.
