(TheRedWire.com) – “The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart slammed the White House and Democrats for defending the President following his poor performance in the first presidential debate late last month. As he argued during the debate against former President Donald Trump, Biden had displayed “shocking” “cognitive difficulty.”
Stweart argued that the campaign, which claims it is based on decency and honesty, has been trying to spin the debate, which is “blatant bulls–.” He added that Biden’s redemption tour has also not been going better.
On Monday during his show, Stewart played a number of clips from the President where the president had read the queues from the teleprompter including “repeat the line” and “pause.” The clip also showcased many of the other moments in which Biden had exhibited memory lapses, including the time he had claimed to have spoken to a French president who is long dead.
Stewart claimed that the poor performance exhibited by Biden is familiar and recognizable to anyone who has had to deal with aging parents, and noted that it was “hard” to watch. He proceeded to play a number of clips where the Democrats had complained about the media placing a lot of attention on Biden’s poor display rather than focusing on how former President Donald Trump is a “pathological liar.”
The comedian argued that the reason no one was speaking up on Trump is because the president had delivered at the debate, and that everyone was expecting him to be “crazy.” However, he added that it was shocking how Biden was unable to articulate himself often, and that he could not believe what he was watching.
