(TheRedWire.com) –  Vice President Kamala Harris energized voters in Wisconsin in her first presidential campaign rally since President Joe Biden’s announcement that he is dropping out of the presidential race. During her speech, Harris reiterated the debunked claim that former President Donald Trump would be looking to push for a nationwide abortion ban if reelected.

During her address, Harris pointed out how important reproductive freedom is and argued that it is necessary to block Trump’s “extreme abortion bans.”

This is not the first time that Harris has made such an assertion. However, this claim has often been fact-checked by various sources who have pointed out that Trump has consistently argued that it should be up to the state to determine abortion access and that it should not be decided on a federal level. He reiterated this stance in a video on Truth Social, advocating for state-level decision-making on abortion laws.

During the rally, Harris gave an 18-minute speech in which she highlighted the importance of Wisconsin as a battleground state in the upcoming election, while also praising Biden for his exceptional presidency. She added that she has been honored to serve alongside him and to have his endorsement. She also stated that she has even been informed that she has secured the necessary delegate support in order to become the Democratic party’s nominee.

Harris pointed out that it was now necessary for them to focus on preparing for the general election. She also slammed Trump for his association with the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025. However, Trump has disavowed the project arguing that it is extremist.
