(TheRedWire.com) – Despite many states making marijuana legal for recreational use, it’s still a federal crime to use the drug. Some young staffers in the White House recently learned that the hard way. Dozens were fired, suspended, put on probation or put in a remote work program for their past use of marijuana. However, the transition team said their bygone use of the drug would be overlooked and not immediately disqualifying for those seeking jobs in the Biden White House. It appears that’s false. It doesn’t apply at all if you’re the Vice President of the United States.

During the 2020 campaign, then-presidential candidate Kamala Harris bragged about her history with marijuana during the wildly popular radio show, “The Breakfast Club.” She not only admitted to inhaling a “joint,” she encouraged the use of the popular drug. She added that the drug gives people “joy” and that people need more of that.
While the staffers struggle with the impact of their past pot usage, the Biden administration is still taking it easier on their White House Staff than former President Obama. Fortunately for Kamala Harris, it’s no concern at all.
