Often, the staff members who run the office and organizes the vice president’s schedule and her trips are left in the dark until the last minute. The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. As a result, communications and logistics suffer. According to former and current aides, much of the problem centers around Harris’s chief of staff, Tina Flournoy. Allegedly, she’s had little access to the vice president, creates a tense work environment, ignores the staff recommendations and throws others under the bus. Two administration officials laid the blame squarely on the vice president for the way her office runs.
Of course, Harris’s chief spokesperson denied the allegations. However, even President Biden’s staff noticed the dysfunction and expressed concern.
