Leftist “Dark Money” Is Pouring in to Confirm Biden’s Supreme Court Nominee

Leftist

(TheRedWire.com) – The founding fathers designed the US Supreme Court to operate outside the political system and serve as objective arbiters of the Constitution. Liberals don’t see the Court this way. Instead, for many on the Left, the Supreme Court is a political tool to achieve its radical goals. Consequently, several Democratic activist groups are spending dark money to support Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s bid for the Supreme Court. For two years, they’ve worked to influence the political process of selecting and confirming a left-wing Supreme Court nominee.

So, what is dark money? It’s money donated to non-profit activist groups in unlimited amounts under a 501(c)(4) umbrella. The non-profit has no obligation to disclose their donors’ names. Progressive groups are milking every dollar possible to gain a political advantage in the upcoming midterm election this fall. For example, Demand Justice recently said it’s spending $1 million in an ad campaign to support Jackson, with more to come.

The leftist group has colleagues in the Biden administration. Before working on the Biden campaign and in the White House, Press Secretary Jen Psaki and Paige Herwig, the White House Office Counsel advising the president on judicial nominees, both worked for Demand Justice.

In 2021, Demand Justice loudly called for Supreme Court Justice Stephen Bryer to resign to prevent another left-leaning Supreme Court seat from falling into the hands of a potential Republican president after 2024.
