(TheRedWire.com) – For decades, comedian and HBO liberal talk show host Bill Maher supported most left-wing views. It seems there is one he’s not agreeing to and is drawing a line in the sand. Critical Race Theory (CRT) is a 40-year-old academic construct that teaches the US is inherently racist, and institutions use race to maintain economic, social, and political inequalities between White and non-White people. In the educational system, it teaches that white people are oppressors and minorities are the oppressed. Now, Maher is speaking out about the issue, and he sounds less Liberal and more Moderate.
During a panel discussion Maher discussed the Virginia gubernatorial race and former Gov. Terry McAuliffe's comments regarding schools.
In a slight aside, Maher mentioned critical race theory and its promotion.https://t.co/ksChKUvQIX

On Friday, October 29, Maher held a panel discussion with Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) on his HBO show. The liberal host said he’s “out” if CRT means separating young children by race, labeling one group as oppressors, labeling the other as oppressed, and teaching racism is the essence of America. Maher said he agrees racism exists, but he doesn’t agree with the tactics taught through CRT. He warned Democrats those tactics would hurt them in upcoming elections.
The discussion evolved as part of a debate about the Virginia gubernatorial election during Maher’s television show. Democratic candidate Terry McAuliffe drew the ire of parents of both political parties and independents over the last few months for suggesting CRT is a good thing and parents shouldn’t have a say in their children’s education.
