(TheRedWire.com) – On Friday a report from Arizona noted that some of former President Donald Trump’s former supporters could be revolting against him.

Trump is currently the frontrunner in the 2024 GOP presidential primary race and is hoping to secure a second term in the White House. However, he is also facing a number of legal troubles as he has been indicted four times in 2023 and is facing a total of more than 90 criminal charges. Trump has pleaded not guilty to all charges and has maintained that the cases against him are politically motivated.

His legal troubles do not appear to have had any effect on his standing in the presidential primary polls thus far, however, some emerging signs have shown that the support he has from the Republican base might not be unshakeable.

Reuters spoke with 15 voters in Arizona who had previously voted for the former President and found that they had pushed back against Trump continuing his campaign to win back the White House. Independents in particular, who are a big voting bloc in the key battleground state and have had a lot of influence on the election results have opposed Trump’s 2024 campaign.

Mark Clarcq, who had voted for Trump in 2016 stated that the former President is “delusional” and that he is still claiming the 2020 election had been fraudulent. He added that in Georgia his attempts to get votes he had not won was an illegal process and that he was in support of the state’s indictment.
