(TheRedWire.com) – Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell in a recent speech in front of an audience in Louisville argued that it is President Joe Biden’s policies rather than his personality that make him lose the November race. He argued Biden is a “good guy” which moves away from former President Donald Trump’s frequent characterization that Biden is “Crooked.”
The Minority Leader, who had worked with Biden in the Senate for over 20 years argued that he knows Biden well and that on a personal level, he likes him. However, he noted that he had never believed Biden’s attempts to portray himself as a moderate during the 2020 election, as that had never been his position during his time in the Senate. He added that the Biden administration has been a “regulatory nightmare” after he started to be in alignment with the Democratic party’s far-left faction.
Trump has in the past slammed Biden claiming that he has committed a number of crimes, including stealing the 2020 presidential election. He has also alleged that prior to March’s State of the Union address Biden had taken performance-enhancing drugs and has claimed that the Biden family has been a part of some fraudulent business activity.
Trump, during a speech in Philadelphia on Saturday, had asked whether during the first presidential debate, he should be “tough and nasty” against Biden or whether he should remain nice and allow him to speak.
McConnell has argued that if Biden is defeated then the reason will be his two big mistakes of opening up the U.S. border and his $2.6 trillion which created inflation.
