#MeToo Hero Has Not Called For Cuomo's Resignation

(TheRedWire.com) – The US Senator who led the charge against Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) and forced him to resign over inappropriate sexual harassment is dancing to a different tune. Over the last few weeks, three women came out against New York Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo, accusing him of unwanted sexual comments and actions. However, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) is calling for an investigation instead of following the lead of other Democratic women who demand Cuomo resign.

Gillibrand was one of the leaders of the #MeeToo movement. However, today, she is hiding behind New York Attorney General Letitia James. The NY AG is beginning an investigation with full subpoena powers into Cuomo’s behavior. In her harshest language, Gillibrand stated the obvious: The Governor’s alleged conduct is unacceptable, but she refuses to call for his resignation.

Many in the Democratic-led state legislature, several New York Representatives in Congress, New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio and outside groups that supported Cuomo are calling for his resignation.
