Look Who Biden Is Mysteriously REFUSING To Prosecute

(TheRedWire.com) – Across America, many living in Democratic-led cities are frustrated with prosecutors refusing to hold criminals accountable for their crimes. Apparently, it’s not just Democrats in big cities; the problem also exists within the Biden administration. On Monday, July 18, The Washington Free Beacon obtained internal data that showed the Biden administration isn’t prosecuting a majority of illegal border crossings.

In January 2021, President Joe Biden assumed office and immediately began overhauling immigration policies. In the fiscal year 2021, which ended on September 30, 2021, the Biden administration brought the prosecution of illegal immigrants down to almost nothing. The data obtained by the Free Beacon showed prosecutions fell by nearly 80% while illegal immigrants crossed the southern border in skyrocketing numbers.

According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) memo obtained by the Beacon, the US Marshals Service only took 2,896 illegal immigrants into custody for the 2021 fiscal year. In 2020, the federal government prosecuted 13,213 migrants.

Some believe President Joe Biden’s immigration policies are making illegal immigration worse, resulting in the worst crisis in US history. In 2021, border patrol officials encountered nearly two million illegal immigrants. No one knows how many slipped by undetected.

Under federal law, it is a misdemeanor if someone crosses into the United States illegally at the border. A second arrest carries a felony charge. Those caught and convicted of crossing the border illegally could face fines and up to two years in jail – if prosecuted, which doesn’t seem to be happening very often in this case.

So, what do you think?  Is the Biden administration failing to protect the border?
