(TheRedWire.com) – In late April, former Vice President Mike Pence is scheduled to deliver his first speech since he and former President Donald Trump left office on January 20. The former VP is heading to South Carolina to speak before the Palmetto Family Council, a conservative Christian non-profit. Throughout Pence’s public life, he has been an outspoken Christian on matters of faith, abortion, family values.
NEWS: An aide to @Mike_Pence tells me the former VP will speak in South Carolina next month – his first public address since leaving office.
Though he's not indicated his intention to run, the move helps set down a marker for a potential 2024 bid. https://t.co/re0R757CZL

The Palmetto Family lobbies on Christian value issues and recently helped to pass legislation that would ban most forms of abortion in South Carolina. Some are speculating that Pence is preparing a presidential run for 2024, though he won’t say at this point if he will run for public office or not. The southern state is the first presidential state primary in the south, and Pence worked closely with the state’s governor and campaigned strongly for US Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC).
In addition to talking about matters of faith, Pence is also expected to talk about the Trump administration’s achievements.
