Nancy Pelosi Plays VICTIM After Dangerous Stunt
(TheRedWire.com) – Ahead of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) trip to Taiwan, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the Biden administration both employed considerable gamesmanship. The communist country said the US’s third highest ranking elected official represented a united front among Democrats to challenge their sovereignty. The administration refused to endorse the trip fully but noted she had the right. On Wednesday, August 3, the Speaker questioned whether sexism played a role in the heaps of criticism she received for deciding to meet with Taiwanese leaders.
Pelosi noted in April that Sens. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) visited the country. She said there wasn’t any controversy over the men’s trip. Pelosi stated Beijing made a scene because she’s the Speaker, adding that might just be an excuse since they didn’t object to the men’s visit.

Regardless, two dozen GOP senators signed a letter supporting her visit to Taiwan. The third in line to the presidency, Pelosi aggressively criticized China while in the country. Soon after landing, she demanded that the United States support its ally in the region even more.
On Thursday, China responded to the state visit by firing precision missile strikes toward the small nation. Tensions are now at their highest point in decades in the region. Still, did she have a point? Was the criticism sexist, or was it due to her position of power in the US government?
