(TheRedWire.com) – On Monday, California Governor Newsom (Democrat) attacked Florida Governor DeSantis, who recently launched his presidential campaign, by calling him a “small, pathetic man” and contemplating the idea of kidnapping charges being filed over the flights of migrants sent to California.
Newsom took to Twitter after California’s AG revealed that the flights that had been used to move the migrants to Sacramento, California, last week were allegedly organized by the Florida state government. In his tweet, he stated that this was not “Martha’s Vineyard”. Then he added “Kidnapping charges?” while linking to the California penal code, specifically that details who is “guilty of kidnapping.”
California AG Rob Bonta (Democrat) specifically stated that while they were still investigating the flight, the individuals who had arrived on the private plane that landed in Sacramento had in their hands’ documents that appeared to be from the State of Florida. It is unclear how much the migrants understood their flight or who was behind it.
DeSantis has not yet disclosed whether he is behind the incident. The arrival of the migrants in Sacramento comes after other Republican governors have transported migrants by bus or plane to other Democratic-led sanctuary cities. Last fall, DeSantis also transported migrants by plane to Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.
Texas Governor Abbott (Republican) revealed in a tweet last month that Texas has bused more than 17,000 migrants to other cities.
