(TheRedWire.com) – As President Trump faced an unprecedented “snap” impeachment in the House of Representatives on Wednesday, January 13, a former Speaker of the House sounded the alarms. Newt Gingrich (R) said the Democratic-led impeachment demonstrated the leftist party’s intention to dictate to Americans who can run for office and who can vote for them.
The will of the American people has to be subordinate to the will of Pelosi. Trump has to be impeached to stop him from running again. Pelosi fears the American people might pick him if they were allowed to. What a formula for expressing Washington’s contempt for the people.

Gingrich added that the Democrat’s plans will “blow up on them” during a Wednesday morning interview with Fox Business’ “Mornings With Maria.” As he astutely pointed out, attempting to silence someone who received 74 million votes will harm Democrats.
Additionally, there’s the issue of impeachment. According to pollster John McLaughlin, battleground state voters want to move on from impeachment and address the issues Americans face in their everyday lives.
Of the bipartisan group polled, 60% felt impeachment was “another waste of time and money.” However, 65% think Joe Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi are dividing the country.
What happens after Wednesday’s House vote to approve an article of impeachment is anyone’s guess.
