(TheRedWire.com) – Former Obama fundraiser Allison Huynh during a recent appearance on “Fox & Friends First” explained why she was now switching sides and would be voting for former President Donald Trump.
On Tuesday, Huynh, who had at a time brought in millions of dollars for the Democratic Party, pointed out that she was unhappy with the direction that the country is taking. She argued that President Joe Biden is “asleep at the wheel” and that he has just given Big Tech and looters to take over Silicon Valley. She added that San Francisco is like a failed experiment, where each morning she wakes up to go to the store, but there is no grocery store there. There are also no malls that she can take her teenage girls to, and the streets are unsafe because of fentanyl users.
Huynh, whose then-husband Scott Hassan is a Google programmer, had assisted the Obama campaign in 2008 to raise millions of dollars. As she stated she is a “hopeful” person and had argued that Obama had brought forward “great ideas” that were about bringing equality to people of color and women. She added that at the time she had supported the candidate who had promised there would be change.
However, her position has changed significantly as she has described herself as an independent who is intending to vote for former President Donald Trump in the upcoming 2024 election. Recently she also supported Trump during one of his Mar-a-Lago fundraisers.
In her comments, she noted that Trump had pushed for great ideas for people to build and create wealth, but that under Biden only those working for Big Tech companies can make money.
