Pelosi Praises GENOCIDE? – She’s In Hot Water Now!
(TheRedWire.com) – Everyone commits a slip of the tongue every now and then. Yet, mental and verbal gaffes can cause significant consequences when the individual in question is a national leader. On Tuesday, August 9, Pelosi told NBC News the People’s Republic of China had “one of the freest societies in the world.”
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said the statement was frightening and “idiotic.” Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-MO) reminded Americans that the dictatorial country locks up vast numbers of its citizens in internment camps and commits genocide. Other former government officials even questioned whether the Speaker was compromised.

Pelosi’s comment immediately solicited strong criticism and feedback. For instance, Donald Trump Jr. noted that she emulated the communist party’s authoritarian practices, so her point made sense.
Pelosi thinks that the Communist Dictatorship in China is "one of the freest societies in the world," which may explain why the Democrats are now emulating the same authoritarian tactics here at home, that the Chinese Communist Party uses against their political opposition! https://t.co/x30ebv5eaf

Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff, Drew Hammill, told the media the Speaker misspoke. She meant to say Taiwan was one of the most democratic countries in the world, and she had consistently spoken out against China over her 35 years in Congress.
So, did the person three positions removed from the presidency deserve the criticism? Should she be more careful with her words when talking about sensitive issues involving two entities that could be staring down a brutal war?
You decide.
