( –  On Monday, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif, stated that she has lost confidence in the Supreme Court arguing that they were going “rogue” with their decisions and ethics controversies. The Supreme Court has been an issue among Democrats ahead of November’s presidential election, with the conservative majority and its decision being frequently brought up.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper had asked Pelosi during the interview whether she had confidence in the Supreme Court. In response, she stated that she does not. She continued by stating that it is “most unfortunate” that the Supreme Court has gone rogue. She proceeded to question what was happening with Chief Justice John Roberts and wondered whether he had gone weak or rogue with his attitude and decisions.

The Democrats have been pushing the abortion issue over the last couple of years, especially following the Supreme Court’s move to overturn the landmark decision and return abortion control to the states.

In preparation for the 2024 presidential election, the Democrats have intensified their efforts and have been pushing for abortion rights to be codified. They also frequently point out that former President Donald Trump had been the one to appoint three conservative Justices to the bench which is what made it possible for the Dobbs case to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Last week, Vice President Kamala Harris spoke in Atlanta and warned the Democrats that “everything is at stake” when it comes to abortion and reproductive health care.

Pelosi told Cooper that while she had respect for the Supreme Court’s point of view, their job was to uphold the U.S. Constitution not advocate for their point of view.
