(TheRedWire.com) – After the 2020 census was completed, southern GOP-led states saw a significant rise in population while northern Democratic states lost House seats due to reductions. Throughout 2020 and parts of 2021, many Democratic-led states continued to pursue lockdowns, shutdowns, and other draconian measures. Under Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, that didn’t happen.
Over the holiday season, numerous Democratic politicians fled their states for the freedom of the Sunshine State. Among them was Democratic Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).

Rep. Anthony Sabatini (R-FL) had something to say about the sighting. He accused AOC of abandoning her New York voters to enjoy freedom in the Sunshine State. He compared the left-wing Democrat to corrupt communist leaders who break the rules they impose on others without a second thought. The Florida Republican also suggested that Democrats would eventually place more restrictions on freedoms with every chance they get. Restrictions already have people fleeing Democratic states for GOP-led ones.
Sabatini had a word of caution for residents coming to free states like Florida from places like New York or California. He told them to leave their left-wing politics behind and not to bring those views to Florida. He added that anyone unwilling to adopt Florida’s ideals of freedom and prosperity shouldn’t bother coming to the state.
