Republican Scrubbed From Wikipedia, Editors Say She's Not a Significant Person

Wikipedia DELETES Information On Rising Republican

(TheRedWire.com) – Once again, Pennsylvania is a battleground state which could determine which political party controls the US Senate after the 2022 midterm elections. In March, President Donald Trump shocked state GOP leaders when he endorsed Dr. Mehmet Oz to replace retiring Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA). As Oz and GOP Senate candidate Dave McCormick went at each other relentlessly, Republican Senate Candidate Kathy Barnette came out of nowhere and built significant momentum ahead of the May 17 Pennsylvania primary.

It appears that Wikipedia may have harmed her cause. With less than a week to go before the primary election, the online encyclopedia deleted Barnette’s page, alleging the conservative was not a significant person. Over the last few weeks, Barnette’s campaign added momentum after announcing she was the product of rape during a Senatorial debate. On Tuesday, May 9, a local poll showed she ran neck and neck with Oz. Barnette polled at 20.9% compared to Oz’s 22.5%.

Barnette tweeted to her supporters that when she is canceled, so are they.

Wikipedia says it classifies politicians who have received significant media attention as notable. It claimed that getting elected or running for office doesn’t make one a notable person.

In the end, voters will get to decide the matter, and with Barnette’s last-minute surge, she could win the Republican nomination.
